President Donald Trump addressed the Samantha Bee controversy, in which she called his daughter Ivanka a “feckless c–t,’ and called on TBS to fire the comedian.

“Why aren’t they firing no talent Samantha Bee for the horrible language used on her low ratings show?” Trump asked. “A total double standard but that’s O.K., we are Winning, and will be doing so for a long time to come!

The call for Bee’s firing, and presumably the cancellation of her program “Full Frontal,” represents a major escalation directed towards TBS.

Bee’s apology was addressed on “Fox & Friends” about 30 minutes before Trump’s tweeted.

On Thursday, White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders also denounced Bee for her joke where Bee called Ivanka Trump a “feckless c–t” and urged TBS and parent company, Time Warner, to take action. But Sanders stopped short of calling for the end of the show.

“The language used by Samantha Bee last night is vile and vicious. The collective silence by the left and its media allies is appalling,” said Sanders in a statement first reported by TheWrap.

“Her disgusting comments and show are not fit for broadcast, and executives at Time Warner and TBS must demonstrate that such explicit profanity about female members of this administration will not be condoned on its network.”

Bee made her remarks about Trump during the monologue of her program “Full Frontal,” which aired Wednesday night. The “feckless c–t” moment as the comedian ripped Ivanka for not doing more to curb her father’s immigration policies.

“Let me just say, one mother to another, do something about your dad’s immigration practices you feckless c–t!” said Bee. “He listens to you. Put on something tight and low cut and tell your father to f—ing stop it. Tell him it was an Obama thing and see how it goes.”

The incident comes just days after Roseanne Barr found herself out of a job for her racially-charged tweets about Valerie Jarrett and since then, many conservatives have complained of a double standard. Both TBS and Bee issued separate apologies Thursday in an attempt to put an end to the issue.

So far, however, at least two companies have dropped the show as part of a growing advertiser boycott. The Trump tweet this morning suggests the matter won’t be going away.
