“True Detective” is shaping up to be a true hit.
The Matthew McConaughey–Woody Harrelson drama hit a series high with its Sunday night episode, drawing 2.6 million total viewers with its initial 9 p.m. airing — its best showing since its Jan. 12 series premiere, which attracted 2.3 million total viewers.

Across three airings on Sunday night, the episode accumulated 3.6 million total viewers — also a high for the series.
At 10 p.m., “Girls” drew 916,000 total viewers, with 1.3 million total across multiple airings.

The freshman series “Looking” at 10:30 also hit a series high, grabbing 519,000 viewers, a 54 percent increase over its series premiere. With multiple airings Sunday night factored in, “Looking” had 749,000 viewers.
