TheBlaze host Tomi Lahren claims Donald Trump called her on the phone following her recent appearance on Fox News’ “Hannity,” during which she spoke kindly of the president.
“He called and said, ‘Thank you for your fair coverage of me,’” Lahren told the Washingtonian.
The alleged call came after Lahren’s Feb. 7 appearance on Fox News, when she told Sean Hannity that she started supporting Trump after noticing “so many average, every-day Americans” rooting him on.
Lahren told Hannity, “He’s running against the Democratic party and, in some ways, the Republican party as well. And he won.”
Trump clearly liked what he saw enough to pick up the phone and thank the 24-year-old rising star of conservative media.
“You’ve got to be honest. I think that political correctness is intellectual dishonesty,” she said during the Fox News appearance that caught Trump’s attention.
Despite being one of Trump’s most outspoken supporters and regularly mocking liberals as “snowflakes,” Lahren told Hannity she isn’t really sure of her stance on conservatism. “I don’t even know if I’m necessarily conservative. I’m honest, and that often lends itself to conservatism,” Lahren said.
She then mocked the “farm team” (a baseball reference to second-class players) of the Democratic party, referring to Nancy Pelosi and Maxine Waters, who both fumbled around with their words while criticizing Trump during a press conference last month.
“They might as well be picking out their pant suits for Trump’s 2020 inauguration,” she said.
