TLC Rides With 13-Member Musical Family on Special ‘Home Sweet Bus’ (Exclusive Video)

The one-hour program follows cross-country performers The Allen family

TLC rolls 13 deep on its upcoming one-hour special, “Home Sweet Bus,” premiering Tuesday, Oct. 28 at 10 p.m. ET.

Produced by Stiletto Television, the special follows the Allen Family, which consists of Todd and Michelle, their five sons, three daughters, one daughter-in-law and twin toddler grandkids, who perform around the country and live on a bus full-time.

Parents Todd and Michelle say they felt a calling — about 17 years ago — to perform faith-based music on the road.

“Literally, I was born on the road,” Danielle, a daughter, said of the bus lifestyle. “I don’t have anything to compare it to. Like, I’ve never lived in a house. It’s so normal for me. It’s just like it would be for you to live in a house.”

It would seem like a simple life, but the family doesn’t live without the comforts of modern life just because they’re living on wheels.

The 360-sq. ft bus has a kitchen, living room, bathroom, master bedroom and sleeping berths for everyone. And in TheWrap’s exclusive video, we learn that they also have Internet access — well, at least some of the time.
