Sorry, Swifties — Taylor Swift only has one show planned for 2017, and it already happened.
“I have to be really honest with you about something: As far as I know, I’m doing one show in 2017,” she said to her audience on Saturday at a DirecTV pre-Super Bowl concert in Houston. “And as far as I know, this is that one show. So what I’m trying to tell you is, by coming here tonight, you’re essentially attending 100 percent of my tour dates for the year, so thank you!”
The singer performed her current “Fifty Shades Darker” hit, “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever,” without song partner Zayn Malik.
“I don’t want you to think Zayn is going to come out, because he’s definitely not,” she told the 9,000 guests. “I saw a lot of phones go up in the air. The only one you have here is me, I’m so sorry.”
The 27-year-old also sang her hits like “Love Story,” “You Belong With Me” and “Style.”
“You’re the crowd in my most recent daydreams, when I’m thinking about being onstage, so I was wondering: If you don’t feel like dancing for yourself or screaming for yourself, you don’t feel in the mood or whatever, you’re, like, stressed out, would you do it for me tonight?” Swift said at what may be her one and only show this year.
She was on her tour, “1989,” from May to December of 2015 in support of her fifth studio album of the same name. According to the Los Angeles Times, the tour was 2015’s highest grossing tour, making more than $250 million worldwide.
While Swift won’t be going on another world tour, half time performer Lady Gaga announced she would embark on one beginning in August in Vancouver and running through December.
