Marion “Suge” Knight is out of the hospital and back in the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s custody, TheWrap learned Thursday.

The rap mogul and founder of Death Row Records was released from a medical facility around 9 p.m. Wednesday, an LASD spokeswoman told TheWrap.

“He’s in the custody of the sheriff’s department,” she said about the 49-year-old who is being held at the Twin Towers Correctional Facility in downtown L.A.

On Tuesday, Knight  pleaded not guilty to murder and attempted murder charges at a preliminary hearing before being rushed to a hospital for an unspecified “medical emergency.”

According to TMZ, Knight was suffering from chest pains and was later treated for a blood clot. He received blood thinners for his condition and will be monitored in the jail infirmary.

Before his hospital stay, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office charged Knight with running over two men with his truck on Jan. 29 following an altercation, as TheWrap previously reported.

The incident happened in the parking lot of Tam’s Burgers in the 1200 block of West Rosecrans Avenue. Investigators say Knight drove his pickup truck backward then forward, killing one man and injuring the other.

The deceased victim has been identified as Terry Carter, while the injured man has been identified as Cle “Bone” Sloan, an activist and actor who appeared in “Training Day” alongside Denzel Washington.

LASD Lt. John Corina said “several witnesses” saw the incident, which took place near a promotional shoot for the upcoming Universal film “Straight Outta Compton.”

“We have several witnesses who saw [Knight] run over the men. It looked to them it was intentional,” Corina said.

But Knight’s lawyer, James Blatt, said his client feared for his life during the incident.

During Tuesday’s court date, the judge rescued himself from Knight’s case, because he had previously represented Carter and Sloan as a lawyer.

Knight’s next bond hearing is set for Feb. 9.
