Spotify Chief Content Officer Stefan Bloom is exiting the company as it prepares to go public, a source with knowledge of the situation told TheWrap.

Bloom shared his plans to leave the music streaming company in the next few weeks in a memo to staff on Friday.

“We are grateful for Stefan’s many contributions to the company over the years and we wish the very best,” the company said in a statement shared with TheWrap. “Looking ahead, the content team is well positioned to execute on our strategy.”

No replacement has been named. Bloom led the Sweden-based company’s negotiations with music labels, extending deals with both Warner Music Group and Universal Music Group in 2017. Spotify filed to go public on the New York Stock Exchange earlier this week, and announced yesterday it had passed the 70 million paid subscriber mark.
