“Star Wars” fans finally got their first look at the next anthology film

After months of speculation and behind-the-scenes turbulence, Lucasfilm gave “Star Wars” fans their first look at the upcoming anthology film “Solo” with a Super Bowl TV spot teasing a look at Han Solo’s past.

Ron Howard took over as director for the film after Phil Lord and Chris Miller left the project over creative differences. The film stars Alden Ehrenreich as Han, with Donald Glover as a young Lando Calrissian and Woody Harrelson as Han’s mentor, Beckett. Thandie Newton, Emilia Clarke, and Paul Bettany also star, with Joonas Suotamo as Chewbacca.

“Solo” hits theaters May 25, with a full trailer debuting on “Good Morning America” on ABC tomorrow. Watch the Super Bowl spot in the clip above.
