Showtime’s ‘Shameless’ Casts Chris Brochu for Season 6 (Exclusive)

The actor most recently seen on “The Vampire Diaries” will play a 20-year-old wrestler who gets into a fight with Jeremy Allen White’s character

Showtime has cast actor Chris Brochu in the sixth season of “Shameless,” TheWrap learned on Saturday.

Brochu, most recently seen in CW drama “The Vampire Diaries,” will play a 2o-year-old wrestler named Dylan, who is introduced on the long-running series after getting into a physical altercation with Jeremy Allen White’s character, Lip.

“Shameless” is a comedy-drama about a dysfunctional family led by an alcoholic single dad, played by William H. Macy, and hist oldest daughter, played by Emmy Rossum.

Bonanza Productions, John Wells Prouctions, Warner Bros. Television and Showtime Networks produce the show distributed by Warner Bros. Television Distribution. John Wells, who developed the show, serves as executive producer along with Mark Mylod and Paul Abbott.

“Shameless” returns to the premium cable network in January.

Brochu is represented by Semler Entertainment and Scott Simpson and Tyler Grasham at Agency for the Performing Arts.
