Shia LaBeouf was arrested in Georgia early Saturday morning, charged with disorderly conduct and public drunkenness.
According to the Chatham County Sheriff’s Department jail records, the “Transformers” star was arrested in Savannah around 4 a.m. and booked on suspicion of disorderly conduct, obstruction and public drunkenness. His bond was set at $7,000.
An official at the Chatham County Detention Center confirmed to TheWrap that LaBeouf was detained there and had been released.
A representative for LaBeouf did not immediately respond to a request for comment. The actor is currently in Savannah filming “The Peanut Butter Falcon” with Dakota Johnson and Bruce Dern.
This is not LaBeouf’s first brush with the law. In 2014, he was arrested in New York after disrupting a Broadway performance of “Cabaret.” Following the incident, his rep told TheWrap that LaBeouf was “voluntarily receiving treatment for alcohol addiction.”
LaBeouf, who has recently been known for performance-art projects, plays tennis great John McEnroe in the upcoming film “Borg vs. McEnroe,” with a new trailer released earlier this week.
