It turns out Anthony Scaramucci demonstrated at least a little good judgement when he decided to make a profanity-packed call to a New Yorker reporter: He correctly predicted that Reince Preibus was dunzo at President Trump’s chief of staff.
Scaramucci, who has openly feuded with Preibus and accused him of leaking information from the White House, told New Yorker reporter Ryan Lizza on Wednesday: “I fired one guy the other day. I have three to four people I’ll fire tomorrow. I’ll get to the person who leaked that to you. Reince Priebus — if you want to leak something — he’ll be asked to resign very shortly.”
Preibus wasn’t the one who announced he was exiting — that was Trump, via Twitter. But still, points to Scaramucci for getting it mostly right, and even being on track with the timeline.
“Reince is a f—ing paranoid schizophrenic, a paranoiac,” Scaramucci said. But that old Nirvana lyric once again proves true: “Just because you’re paranoid don’t mean they’re not after you.”
Now that we know Scaramucci has the power to predict the future, what if it turns out he’s also right that Steve Bannon is “trying to suck his own c—“?
If he is, and Bannon’s efforts prove successful, we’d like to urge the president not to tweet any proof.
