When Ellen DeGeneres is away, the “Saved by the Bell” alums will play.
Mario Lopez took over hosting duties on “Ellen” Wednesday and he decided to bring his old pal and on-screen classmate Tiffani Theissen by for a cocktail.
OK, Kelly and Slater weren’t just day drinking because they are now (definitely) of age, but Theissen was there to promote her new cookbook, “Pull Up a Chair: Recipes from My Family to Yours,” which will be released on Oct. 2. When they were done mixing their tequila-laced beverages, Lopez and Theissen sat down to reminisce about the halls of Bayside High.
“Harper started watching it a tiny, tiny bit,” Theissen said when Lopez asked if her kids have seen the show they starred on almost 30 years ago. “I was okay with season one, but after that, when kissing started happening, I was like, ‘no, no, no we’re done!’”
While Theissen’s little ones may be fans, Lopez said that his kids just weren’t “feeling it.” And believe it or not, their criticism was of Slater’s prized feature: “Daddy, why is your hair like that?” Ouch!
Alright, now who wants to tell Mark-Paul Gosselaar that Kelly and Slater met up without Zack Morris?
