“Roseanne” just keeps rolling. The revived ABC sitcom hauled in 13 million viewers last night, and held steady from last week in the key 18-49 demographic, with a 3.4 rating.
ABC finished first last night in the demo, though CBS topped primetime’s overall audience averages.
Anchored by the Season 1 finale for “Black Lightning,” The CW finished fifth on Tuesday, beating both Spanish-language networks by both main Nielsen metrics.
ABC was first in ratings with a 1.3 rating/5 in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic, but third in total viewers with an average of 5 million, according to preliminary numbers. Following “Roseanne,” which landed a gaudy 15 share, “Alex, Inc.” at 8:30 p.m. had a 1.2/5 and 4.8 million viewers. At 9, “Black-ish” received a 1.1/4 and 4.1 million viewers. “Splitting Up Together” at 9:30 got a 1.0/4 and 3.6 million viewers. “For the People” at 10 managed a 0.6/2 and 2.1 million viewers.
NBC was second in ratings with a 1.1/5 and in viewers with 6.2 million. “The Voice” at 8 posted a 1.5/6 and 8.2 million viewers. At 9, “Rise” received a 0.8/3 and 4.3 million viewers. “Chicago Med” at 10 had a 1.2/5 and 6.2 million viewers.
CBS was third in ratings with a 1.0/4, but first in viewers with 10.1 million. “NCIS” at 8 earned a 1.1/5 and 11.3 million viewers. At 9, “Bull” put up a 1.1/4 and 10.7 million viewers. “NCIS: New Orleans” at 10 closed primetime to a 0.8/3 and 8.4 million viewers.
Fox was fourth in ratings with a 0.7/3 and in viewers with 2.7 million. “Lethal Weapon” at 8 had a 0.7/3 and 3.5 million viewers. At 9, “LA to Vegas” got a 0.6/2 and 2 million viewers. “New Girl” at 9:30 received a 0.6/2 and 1.7 million viewers.
The CW was fifth in ratings with a 0.6/2 and in viewers with 1.8 million. “The Flash” at 8 had a 0.6/3 and 1.9 million viewers. The “Black Lightning” season finale at 9 got a 0.5/2 and 1.7 million viewers.
Univision was sixth in ratings with a 0.5/2 and in viewers with 1.4 million.
Telemundo was seventh in ratings with a 0.4/2 and in viewers with 1.2 million.
