Donald Trump had a nine-month affair with Karen McDougal in 2006 — two years into his marriage to Melania Trump — Ronan Farrow wrote in a blockbuster New Yorker article published early Friday. The bombshell piece has the Internet abuzz — and split.
Though the left is enjoying the “gotcha” moment, conservative Twitter is somewhat unfazed by the story, with reactions ranging from “Who cares” to “Fake news!” to our favorite: “But Bill Clinton…”

Ronan Farrow didn't 'find' anything between the Clinton's, huh. How about Barry's behavior in his Chicago days? No? Bueller?
That's why I just don't care about this. No more progressive media jerkweeds holding others to a different standard. Sick of it. https://t.co/I1g421jXrG

If only enough people cared about infidelity and sexual predation back in the 90s, we wouldn't have Ronan Farrow breaking news about the current president's alleged affair with Karen McDougal today. #FlashbackFriday #FoodForThought #RonanFarrow pic.twitter.com/A7pedZuV2s

So Ronan Farrow is trending because he wrote a little piece about an alleged affair and the left says "Trump's a terrible person and husband, poor Melania." But they never criticize Bill Clinton for his adultery that ended his presidency or you know all of the RAPE.

Funny how the left didn’t care about Bill Clinton’s sexual abuse allegations but now they obsess over unsubstantiated old tales of consensual affairs of Trump before elected President.
Liberalism & Voyeurism are both mental disorders. #FlashbackFriday

McDougal— 𝐂𝐂 (@ChatByCC) February 16, 2018
In Farrow’s expose, McDougal confirmed a Wall Street Journal report from shortly before the 2016 election that she was paid $150,000 by National Enquirer publisher American Media Inc. for the account of her account of an affair she had with a “then-married man.”
According to the New Yorker, that “then-married man” was Donald Trump, then a real estate mogul and star of NBC’s “The Apprentice.”
A White House spokesperson denied the affair in a statement to the New Yorker: “This is an old story that is just more fake news. The President says he never had a relationship with McDougal.”
