“Good Morning America” anchor Robin Roberts announced on the show Wednesday that she is launching Rock’n Robin Productions, which will create original programming ranging from news specials and documentaries to entertainment and sports shows.
She also debuted a new website, RocknRobin.tv, which will include a blog with messages of encouragement. Roberts, who has survived bouts with both breast cancer and a blood and bone disease, said much of her programming will be inspirational. It will include a Thanksgiving special about gratitude.

“I’m thinking about my mom and dad, because they wanted me to do this, to be on the creative end of things,” she told her “GMA” colleagues. “I’ve been in broadcasting for more than 30 years so I’m very, very excited about this.”
Her first project will be the ESPNW series “In the Game with Robin Roberts,” debuting Thursday. The first interview will be with Michael Sam, the first openly gay NFL draft pick. He is reportedly close to joining the Dallas Cowboys.
