Rob Lowe was ready for some football on Saturday, but a carriage dispute had him calling foul on his former employer DirecTV.

Lowe, who starred in a series of commercials for the satellite service, bit the hand that fed him with a series of tweets after a carriage dispute left the actor pigskin-deficient.

In a series of tweets that have since been deleted but were preserved by Mediaite, Lowe referenced the commercials, writing, “Hi, I’m Rob Lowe. And I’M ‘Screwed Over’ Rob Lowe, with @DIRECTV that cuts off my ability to watch NFL games during the playoffs! @FOXTV.”

Lowe’s viewing options were hampered by a dispute between DirecTV and News-Press & Gazette Company, the owner of the Fox affiliate in Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo counties.

“Hey @FOXTV and @DIRECTV how many shows and commercials do I need to do for you to be able to watch football that I’ve already paid for?” the actor continued.

“The West Wing” alum Lowe later paraphrased a former U.S. president while making his case, tweeting, “As Harry Truman said: ‘The buck stops somewhere else.’”

Lowe’s tweets earned the actor kudos on social media, with one supporter tweeting, “Good for u @RobLowe can’t stand the posturing while holding the customer hostage. Shame on both sides.”

“Rob Lowe is a national hero who is unafraid to address serious issues that others sweep under the rug,” wrote another supporter.

However, by Sunday, Lowe had made peace with the situation, tweeting that he had “nothin but luv” for DirecTV.

“Creepy, Hairy and Skinny Arms were upset with my tweet. Sorry,” the actor wrote. “Got nothin but luv 4 u and @DIRECTV My neighborhood just wanted r football.”
