“Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Phaedra Parks says she her oldest son is “very aware” of her soon-to-be-ex-husband’s incarceration.
While appearing on “Watch What Happens Live” after Sunday’s episode of the hit Bravo reality series, Parks reiterated that she will be “amicably resolving” her marriage to Apollo Nida, who is currently serving an eight-year prison sentence at a minimum-security federal prison in Lexington, Ky.
He pleaded guilty to charges of bank fraud and identity theft. According to court papers, Nida defrauded millions of dollars from at least 50 people over four years by stealing their identities.
Although they’re parting ways, Parks said they speak “at least, if not five, six times a week, if not more,” and her two kids are “definitely in contact” with Nida.
Her one-year-old son is too young to comprehend the situation, but Parks’ four-year-old boy, Ayden, has been told the truth.
“Ayden definitely knows that he’s in Kentucky and Apollo told him where he was,” Parks told Andy Cohen. “He definitely is very aware. It’s very tough for a four year old.”
