‘Quarry’ Gets Premiere Date, New Trailer at Cinemax (Video)

Vietnam-era drama from Graham Gordy and Michael D. Fuller debuts September 9

Cinemax has scheduled the premiere of its upcoming period drama “Quarry” for this September, the network announced Thursday.

The Vietnam War-era drama from co-creators Graham Gordy and Michael D. Fuller, which also received a new 30-second teaser trailer, will debut on Friday, September 9 at 10 p.m.

The drama has been a long time coming, having first been ordered to series in February 2015 off a pilot shot the previous summer.

“Quarry” tells the story of Mac Conway, played by Logan Marshall-Green, a Marine who returns home to Memphis from Vietnam in 1972 and finds himself shunned by those he loves and demonized by the public. As he struggles to cope with his experiences at war, Conway is drawn into a network of killing and corruption that spans the length of the Mississippi River.

Jodi Balfour, Peter Mulla, Nikki Amuka-Bird, Damon Herriman, Jamie Hector, Edoardo Ballerini, and Skipp Sudduth also star.

Greg Yaitanes serves as director and executive producer on the series, along with executive producer Steve Golin. Produced by HBO Entertainment in association with Anonymous Content, the series is also executive produced by Matt DeRoss, David Kanter, Max Allan Collins and Ken Levin. Additional writers on the series include Jennifer Schuur and Max Allan Collins.
