“Princess Diaries” director Garry Marshall hopes Anne Hathaway is getting ready to put her tiara back on — as soon as she’s had a baby, that is.

The “Les Misérables” Oscar winner will reprise her breakout role in “Princess Diaries 3,” Marshall said Monday.

“I was with Anne Hathaway a couple weeks ago, it looks like we want to do ‘Princess Diaries 3’ in Manhattan,” Marshall told People. “Anne Hathaway is very pregnant, so we have to wait until she has the baby and then I think we’re going to do it.”

Hathaway and husband Adam Shulman announced in November that they are expecting their first child, and the actress had her baby shower on March 5.

She recently completed “Alice Through the Looking Glass” and “Colossal,” which is currently in post-production.

Hathaway made her film debut role alongside Julie Andrews in Disney’s “The Princess Diaries” in 2001, and also starred in the surprise hit’s sequel in 2004.

The film franchise tells the story of Mia Thermopolis (Hathaway), a teenager who discovers that she is the heir to the throne of the fictional Kingdom of Genovia, ruled by her grandmother Queen Dowager Clarisse Renaldi (Andrews).

When asked if “Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement” star Chris Pine would reprise his role of Lord Nicholas Devereaux, Marshall said: “Maybe … He’s quite big now, you know. Chris Pine likes me, you know why? Because his father [Robert Pine] is in ‘Mother’s Day.’”
