Oscar Isaac Is Erasing the Line Between Man and Machine in First ‘Ex Machina’ Trailer (Video)

“Star Wars” star Oscar Isaac can’t be trusted in “Ex Machina.”

The first trailer (above) for the science fiction thriller makes it abundantly clear that Isaac’s character is keeping secrets from a young programmer, played by Domhnall Gleeson, who is selected to evaluate the human qualities of a breathtaking female robot (Alicia Vikander).

“Nathan isn’t your friend,” the beautiful bot warns. “You’re wrong… about everything.”

Alex Garland, who wrote terrific sci-fi films “28 Days Later” and “Sunshine,” wrote and directed the movie that explores the following idea: “To erase the line between man and machine is to obscure the line between men and gods.”
