Olivia Munn has been cast as Betsy Braddock, aka Psylocke, in Bryan Singer‘s “X-Men: Apocalypse,” the director announced on social media on Monday.
Psylocke is a mutant with telepathic abilities and ninja-like skills.
Munn joins Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy and Oscar Isaac in the comic book movie, which 20th Century Fox will release on May 27, 2016.
New cast members include Tye Sheridan as Cyclops, Sophie Turner as Jean Grey, Alexandra Shipp as Storm, Kodi Smit-McPhee as Nightcrawler and Ben Hardy as Angel.
Munn recently starred opposite Johnny Depp in “Mortdecai” and will soon be seen alongside Kevin Hart and Ice Cube in “Ride Along 2.” The “Newsroom” star is represented by CAA and Atlas Artists.
