Daniella Alonso is giving Gabrielle Union some competition on BET’s “Being Mary Jane.”
TheWrap has exclusively learned that Alonso has been cast in a recurring role on the cable drama.
Currently booked for five episodes, Alonso will play Marisol, a very pretty, very stylish woman who takes over Mary Jane’s (Union) anchor position while Mary Jane is out.
Very good at what she does, Marisol causes quite a stir. However, when Mary Jane returns, it turns out Marisol is one of Mary Jane’s starstruck fans.
Alonso previously starred on the first season of NBC’s “Night Shift” as Dr. Landry De La Cruz. She has also starred on NBC’s “Revolution” and ABC’s “My Generation.”
She can next been seen in the film, “Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2,” which will be released on April 17.
The Gersh Agency and Luber Roklin Entertainment represent Alonzo.
