Nick Jonas has been tapped to host Nickelodeon’s 28th Annual Kids’ Choice Awards.

The singer-songwriter-actor revealed the big news in a social media video on Wednesday, published to his Twitter, Facebook and Instagram accounts. The 2015 award show, celebrating kids’ favorite stars across film, television, sports and music, takes place on Saturday, Mar. 28 at The Forum in Inglewood, California.

Jonas, who himself was nominated for two Kids’ Choice Awards in past years, has enjoyed a string of successes over the past few months. In addition to his new awards show hosting gig, the 22-year-old’s solo single “Jealous” is near the top of the U.S. radio charts and his mixed martial arts series “Kingdom” has been picked up for an additional season by DirecTV. He will also be joining Australian rapper Iggy Azalea on her Great Escape tour this April and is set to appear on Ryan Murph’ys upcoming horror comedy series for Fox, “Scream Queens.”

Past hosts include Jack Black, Justin Timberlake, Cameron Diaz and Will Smith.

“Nickelodeon’s 28th Annual Kids’ Choice Awards” is produced by Nickelodeon Productions. Jay Schmalholz, Shelly Sumpter Gillyard and Andrew Llinares are executive producers. Ben Thursby is co-executive producer.

The slime-filled telecast will premiere across Nickelodeon’s three television networks (Nickelodeon, TeenNick and Nicktoons) and stream live on Nick.com, the Nick App and Nick Radio.

The network is set to announce additional performers and presenters, who will be announced in the coming weeks.
