Nick and Aaron Carter Mourn Their Father Robert’s Death: ‘My Heart Is Completely Shattered’

Sad news for the Carter family.

Nick and Aaron Carter took to Twitter on Wednesday to share news that their father, Robert, died Tuesday night.

The Backstreet Boys singer and his brother also poured their hearts out, with Aaron declaring, “My heart is completely shattered.”

According to Nick, the cause of Robert Carter‘s death is still being looked into.

“I am heartbroken to share the news that our father, Robert, passed away last night,” Nick tweeted Wednesday. “While we learn more about the cause of death, and begin the grieving process, we ask that our privacy be respected at this difficult time.”

Aaron Carter called his deceased father “the coolest man ever” and admitted, “I’m really messed up right now.”

“I’m gonna miss you forever poppa smurf you were the coolest man ever. And super good looking pops! I’m really messed up right now,” Aaron wrote. “My heart is broken, We are so hurwe lost you poppa way too soon. You were never human to me.”

Aaron added, “My heart is Completely shattered I’m in shock and I loved my dad so much. #RIP DADDY I Love You.”

According to TMZ, Robert Carter was 65.

Robert Carter appeared on the short-lived reality series “House of Carters,” which aired for one season in 2006 and revolved around the family.
