NBC has given an additional episode order to freshman drama “Blindspot” and three other drama series.

The Greg Berlanti series, “Chicago Fire,” “Chicago PD” and “Law & Order: SVU” will each air 23 episodes this season, one more than the traditional 22.

“Blindspot” debuted to a large audience following the network’s ratings powerhouse, “The Voice.” The series, starring Jaimie Alexander and Sullivan Stapleton, became the fall’s first new series to be picked up for a full season earlier this month. Marianne Jean-Baptiste, Rob Brown, Audrey Esparza, Ukweli Roach, and Ashley Johnson also star.

NBC’s trio of Dick Wolf procedurals, “Chicago Fire,” “Chicago PD” and “Law & Order: SVU” aired a three-way crossover in April to record ratings for all three shows. The network will add “Chicago Med” next month, with a four-show crossover event planned for February.

The network recently reduced the episode orders for the Wesley Snipes series “The Player,” and freshman comedy “Truth Be Told.” Midseason comedies “Superstore” and “Hot and Bothered” also had their episode orders reduced from 13 to 10.
