‘Morning Joe’: Mika Brzezinski Blasts ‘Pathetic’ Rudy Giuliani: ‘Get Your Self-Respect Back’

“Throw grandpa from the train,” adds Joe Scarborough in a mocking reference to the 1987 Danny DeVito classic

The set of “Morning Joe” offered a new round of mockery for President Trump’s personal attorney Rudy Giuliani on Tuesday over another series of interviews the former New York City mayor gave to the media on Monday.

“I’ve watched a couple of the interviews and it’s been painful. I’m sorry. It’s pathetic,” said co-host Mika Brzezinski. “At some point you need to get your self-respect back.”

“Honestly, his family should step in,” she continued. “Family needs to step in. Someone needs to step in.”

“Throw grandpa from the train,” added Joe Scarborough in a reference to the 1987 Danny DeVito classic.

On Monday, Giuliani again made the rounds on television offering a series of new revelations and bombshells to careful watchers of special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 election.

On the set of Fox News’ “Outnumbered” Monday, Giuliani suggested that a second Trump Tower meeting between Team Trump and the Russians may have taken place and that the president’s legal team was working furiously to keep the information from being reported.

“There was another meeting that has been leaked but hasn’t been in public yet,” he said to the stunned hosts. “That was a meeting — an alleged meeting — three days before, according to Cohen … he says there was a meeting with Donald Jr., with Jared Kushner, with Paul Manafort, with Gates and possibly two others.”

On CNN and Fox News earlier that day, Giuliani curiously insisted that collusion wasn’t even a crime anyway.

“I don’t even know if that’s a crime — colluding with Russians,” he told CNN’s Alisyn Camerota. “Hacking is the crime. The president didn’t hack. He didn’t pay for the hacking.”
