Rob Huebel and Lily Rabe, the stars of Julia Hart’s directorial debut “Miss Stevens” sat down with TheWrap at SXSW in Austin, Texas, to discuss some of the more complicated aspects of the teacher-student relationship.
“Everyone has a teacher that they remember as being like so attractive,” Huebel told TheWrap’s Matt Donnelly. “For me, my algebra teacher in high school was this super attractive woman … But I feel like that’s probably not accurate. I think those are like your hormones filtering what you really remember.”
“These kids are sitting there listening to you, looking up to you, and their hormones are exploding,” explained Hart, who previously taught high school English for eight years. “You’re an adult and you’re a woman. You do the math.”
