Michael Fassbender hunts down a killer of women in the terrifying first trailer for “The Snowman.”
“A woman vanished last night. We just found the body. And the head is missing,” Fassbender says in a voiceover. “He calls himself the Snowman Killer. He’s completely insane. The only thing we know for sure is that he’s playing games with us.”
Fassbender, who plays detective Harry Hole, tries to lure the maniac out with the help of a character played by Rebecca Ferguson. As the trailer makes clear, the Snowman Killer seems to have taken a personal interest in the detective.
“If we don’t find him, this is never going to stop,” says Hole.
“The Snowman,” directed by Tomas Alfredson (“Let the Right One In”), also stars Charlotte Gainsbourg and J.K. Simmons. It’s based on the best-selling thriller by Norwegian author Jo Nesbø.
“The Snowman” will hit theaters on Oct. 20.
