Kaminow was most recently president of worldwide strategic marketing and research at Sony Pictures Entertainment, where he oversaw all worldwide theatrical market research for the studio and played a key role in establishing a worldwide marketing platform for all divisions of the department.
During his tenure at Sony he also worked on film brand management and franchise evaluation, developing marketing strategy on such films as “Spider-Man,” several James Bond films, “21 and 22 Jump Street,” “The Da Vinci Code,” “Angels & Demons,” “American Hustle,” “Zero Dark Thirty,” “Moneyball,” “The Social Network,” “Julie & Julia,” “2012,” “The Pursuit of Happyness,” “Superbad,” “Pineapple Express,” “Hancock,” “Hitch” and all Sony Pictures Animation titles.
Prior to joining Sony, Kaminow was senior VP of marketing and research at Miramax Films, where he was an integral part of the marketing campaigns for films such as “The English Patient,” “Shakespeare in Love,” “Good Will Hunting,” “The Cider House Rules,” “Chocolat” and “Life is Beautiful.” He got his start at Miramax as director of market research.
