Christopher Cattrall, brother of actress Kim Cattrall, has been found dead at his home in Lacombe, Alberta, Canada, according to a media spokesperson from the Royal Canadian Mountain Police. He was 55.
Christopher Cattrall had been reported missing on Saturday after he had not been seen since January 30. According to an Instagram post from the “Sex and the City” actress, Cattrall’s items had been found in his unlocked home earlier this weekend.
“It is with great sadness that myself and my family announce the unexpected passing of our son and brother, Chris Cattrall,” Cattrall wrote in Twitter and Instagram posts this Sunday.
“At this time we ask for privacy,” she added. “We want to thank you all on social media for your outpouring of love and support in this trying time.”
Authorities are investigating the death, though foul play is not suspected.
