Another pop star is heading for “Jane The Virgin,” with Kesha set to make a guest appearance on The CW’s Golden Globe-winning drama.
The “Tik Tok” singer will appear in episode 202, playing Annabelle, a rocker who moves next door to Jane and isn’t exactly a “baby person.”
“We are so thrilled Kesha will be appearing on Jane!” said executive producer Jennie Snyder Urman in a statement. “We are all huge fans of hers, and we are so excited to welcome her to the Jane The Virgin family.”
Kesha’s casting comes on the heels of last week’s announcement that Britney Spears would be appearing in episode 205 of the new season, playing a version of herself who’s also Rogelio’s (Jamie Camill) nemesis.
The series received its first Emmy nomination in July in the Outstanding Narrator category. Anthony Mendez, who is heard but never seen as the irreverent voice guiding the audience through the many dramatic life events of Gina Rodriguez’s title character, became the first narrator of a scripted series nominated in the category.
Rodriguez also won a Golden Globe Award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series – Comedy or Musical, making her only the second Latina actress to win the award and the first Golden Globe winner for The CW.
“Jane The Virgin” returns for Season 2 on Monday, Oct. 12 on The CW.
