Kerry Washington will play a bride-to-be in the upcoming romantic comedy “Is He The One,” an individual familiar with the project confirmed to TheWrap.
The MGM project begins with Washington’s character dressing for her wedding and ends on her making her way towards the altar where her groom awaits. Who is at the end of the aisle will remain a mystery as the movie flashes back to three separate relationships that the lead character has had.

MGM acquired the rights to the project, directed by Malcolm D. Lee (“The Best Man” and “The Best Man Holiday”). DJ Richardson and Michelle Morgan (Girl Most Likely) penned the script.
Todd Garner is reported to be producing. MGM Motion Picture Group President Jonathan Glickman and SVP Cassidy Lange are also overseeing the project.

“Is He The One” is Washington’s first film since her supporting role in 2012’s “Django Unchained.”
Washington is repped by CAA and Washington Square Films.
