E! is keeping around “Keeping Up With the Kardashians.”
The cable channel has renewed its deal with the famous Kardashian clan for five more cycles that will take the flagship series through 2020, TheWrap has learned.
CNN Money reports that the deal is worth less than the $100 million figure that had initially been reported by some media outlets.
“We recently celebrated the milestone 10th anniversary of ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ on E!” a network rep told TheWrap. “We have aired 13 wildly successful seasons of the franchise as well as 11 spin-offs, and Season 14 is off to a strong start. We are incredibly proud of our partnership with the Kardashians, and they remain an important part of the E! family. We look forward to continuing our collaboration for years to come.”
Matriarch Kris Jenner and daughters Kim Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian, Kendell Jenner and Kylie Jenner have all become household names and successful entrepreneurs since their unscripted series launched in October 2007.
“Keeping Up With the Kardashians” has spawned such recent spinoffs as “Rob & Chyna” and “Life of Kylie.”
“Keeping Up With the Kardashians” airs Sundays at 9/8c on E!
