Kathryn Bigelow Elephant Poaching Movie Leads VR Premieres at Tribeca Film Festival

The film festival will play host to 29 virtual reality and interactive exhibits, including 20 world premieres

Kathryn Bigelow’s elephant poaching drama “The Protectors: Walk in The Ranger’s Shoes” will be among the films premiering at the virtual reality and experiential programming section of the 2017 Tribeca Film Festival.

Other films premiering include “Apex,” “Arden’s Wake” and “Life of Us,” created and scored by Pharrell Williams.

There will be 29 VR and interactive exhibits, including 20 world premieres. Storyscapes, celebrating its fifth year this spring, and Virtual Arcade exhibitions will run throughout the festival as well. Storyscapes is a juried showcase that presents new trends and innovative work across multiple mediums, including explorations in the topics of autobiographies, perception and identity.
