Kaley Cuoco gives comics fans a look at the ever-expanding DC Universe in a trailer teasing and what to expect in the coming year, including her new animated series “Harley Quinn.”
Cuoco goes from comic book fan boy’s wife on “The Big Bang Theory” to comic book villain’s love interest and accomplice in “Harley Quinn,” which she cannot wait for fans to see it.
“Working on #harleyquinn has been an insane blast, we can’t wait for you to see it! It’s all coming at you in 2019… #adulthumor,” Cuoco posted on Instagram.
In rapid succession, the trailer hints at things to come on the new DC Universe streaming service, from original series like “Young Justice Outsiders” to “Titans” and “Stargir,l” Patrol,” to airing of old DC films and shows.
“It’s got comedy, action, incredibly gratuitous violence…” she says, voicing the Joker’s occasion gal pal, Harley Quinn, in the clip below.
Joining Cuoco on the new series is Lake Bell, Alan Tudyk, Ron Funches, JB Smoove, Jason Alexander, Wanda Sykes, Giancarlo Esposito, Natalie Morales, Jim Rash, Diedrich Bader, Tony Hale and Chris Meloni.
Cuoco will serve as executive producer for the animated series via her Norman Productions banner, alongside Justin Halpern, Patrick Schumacker and Dean Lorey. The show is expected to launch on DC’s SVOD service sometime near the end of 2019.
