John Noble Brings War to ‘Sleepy Hollow’ in Season 2 Teaser (Video)

As the Horseman of War, Noble reveals that the war in Sleepy Hollow has always been there

“War isn’t coming to Sleepy Hollow. It’s been here all along,” John Noble (“Fringe”) says in the first promo for the second season of Fox’s unexpected hit last fall.

After being revealed as one of the Horsemen of the Apocalypse in the season finale, Noble joins the show as a full cast member for Season 2, so he can create as much mayhem as possible.

Noble was also revealed as the long-lost son of Tom Mison’s Ichabod Crane, adding a layer of tragedy for Mison as the child he thought he’d never see again now stands before him as his greatest enemy.

While the first season saw the out-of-time Mison and Nicole Beharie learning to come together against the growing madness in Sleepy Hollow, as well as developing fantastic on-screen chemistry, it looks like the stakes will be raised considerably in the upcoming second season.

It’s fitting, then, that Fox has also expanded the episode order. Season 1 saw 13 episodes, while Season 2 will run 18. Premiering in the fall, it is still expected to run nearly uninterrupted, thus keeping fans on the edges of their seats week after week.

The finale saw Mison and Beharie’s characters in dire straits indeed, with one buried in a casket while the other was trapped in Purgatory. The teaser for Season 2 looks like they’ll quickly recover from those situations so they can get back to the task of stopping the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, and the end times their presence represents.
