Joe Scarborough ‘Feels Bad’ for Trump Fans: ‘He’s Making Fools of Them’ (Video)

The “Morning Joe” host asks how anyone can be “so stupid” as to believe the president

Joe Scarborough was not a fan of President Trump’s week of rallies, telling viewers of “Morning Joe” on Friday that he felt bad for Trump diehards and said the billionaire was making them look stupid.

“Who is stupid enough to believe that. I just gotta ask the question? Who is stupid enough to believe that,” Scarborough thundered after playing a clip of President Trump falsely accusing Hillary Clinton of colluding with Russia during the 2016 campaign.

“Who does Donald Trump believe in that audience is so stupid as to believe that? And why does he continue insulting people that spend a lot of time going to his rallies? He’s making fools of them and I feel really bad for them because he is such a snake oil salesman.”

Also on hand, co-host Mika Brzezinski, who offered her feelings on the matter as well.

“I’m really glad you said that because I do think he’s using them as pawns,” she said. “I feel terrible for what he’s doing to these people who are so excited to come to his rally to see the President of the United States and then he uses them like that and makes them look stupid.”

Admittedly, it was one of Trump’s bigger fibs when he told an audience in Pennsylvania Wednesday that Hillary Clinton has in fact colluded with Russia to undermine him during the 2016 campaign.

“There was collusion between Hillary, the Democrats and Russia,” he said. “There was collusion, there’s no question.”

The line was too much for Clinton, who offered her own burn on Twitter.

“Seriously, you asked Russia to hack me on national television,” she said.
