‘Morning Joe’ Scarborough Lashes Out at CBS Reporter Over Trump New Year’s Party

MSNBC host comes out swinging on Twitter when Sopan Deb says he partied with the president-elect

“Morning Joe” host Joe Scarborough lashed out at CBS reporter Sopan Deb for saying he “partied” with President-elect Donald Trump.

Deb tweeted about a story in The New York Times describing Trump’s swanky New Year’s Eve party at his Mar-A-Lago estate in West Palm Beach, Florida. The item listed those who attended Trump’s gala, including Scarborough and his MSNBC co-host Mika Brezinski.

“Morning Joe’s hosts partied with Trump last night at Mar-A-Lago. Last year, Trump publicly thanked them for support,” Deb tweeted.

Scarborough took offense at the suggestion that he had “partied” with Trump by going to Mar-a-Lago. He said he was at the estate trying to set up an interview — before the festivities began. He also said he and his co-host left before any partying broke out.

Deb continued to poke at Scarborough by throwing the host’s own words back at him about calling Trump a racist and xenophobic last year.

Deb wrote: “I imagine you repeated that last night at Mar-A-Lago, @JoeNBC. Before the ball dropped, maybe even.”

Scarborough didn’t take that kindly.
