“Jem” fans went into a frenzy Thursday when director Jon M. Chu revealed via Tumblr the teaser poster and cast photos of the highly anticipated movie adaptation of the popular 1980s cartoon series.

“Sharknado” star Aubrey Peeples was announced as the eponymous pop star Jem. Stefanie Scott, Hayley Kiyoko, and Aurora Perrineau also round out the cast as members of Jem’s band, The Holograms.
