It must happen all the time: You call the IT Department hoping to get your computer fixed, and out pops Pennywise the Clown, the iconic monster from “It.”
At least, that’s what happened in James Corden’s latest sketch on the “Late Late Show” on Wednesday night. A frustrated employee calls for the IT Department, only to get a scary surprise.
“I see the problem. You called the IT Department, and I’m ‘It,’” Corden’s Pennywise tells the employee. “So there’s been a mixup. It’s not your fault, it happens all the time.”
But Pennywise is here to help fix the problem, but no matter what he does, he still ends up scaring the bejeezus out of the employee.
He even shows up with a red balloon which the worker wants to pop — and although Pennywise warns against it, he does it anyway and red goo splatters all over the employee’s shirt.
“Everyone knows you don’t pop up a murderous clown’s balloon!” Pennywise says.
The worker is frustrated at this point and calls for the IT Department again — but Pennywise doesn’t go away.
“Honestly, at this point, I’m just emotionally invested in getting your computer fixed,” he says nicely.
That’s when Freddy Krueger pops up, who explains he went to night school for a degree in computer scienes and can fix the computer.
