“It” actor Bill Skarsgard has perfected his creepy Pennywise the Clown smile and doesn’t need all the makeup from the movie to look absolutely terrifying.
“You have easily the most evil, demonic smile I think I’ve seen in all of horror, and I’ve worked with Andy Richter for a long time,” Conan O’Brien told Skarsgard during his appearance on Tuesday night.
Skarsgard then contorted his lips in a pointed shape, eerily similar to the creepy smile of Pennywise in the film “It,” which broke several records and earned $123 million its opening weekend.
Skarsgard explained that his older brother Gustaf, who is also an actor, has this ability to point his lip in a strange way, and at 10 years old, Skarsgard realized he could do it too. He then created this persona called Juergen, and would pull the shirts over his head so only his face was visible and would chase his little brother around the house.
“He’s traumatized seeing the film,” Skarsgard joked. “‘Not again!’”
