President Francis Underwood has been immortalized in a portrait unveiled Tuesday at the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery.
Kevin Spacey‘s likeness was captured by British artist Jonathan Yeo in a joint project with the museum, which houses the only complete collection of presidential portraits outside of the White House.
Spacey himself arrived for the unveiling in character as President Underwood, the character he’s played for four seasons on Netflix’s “House of Cards.”
The actor was joined by Portrait Gallery Director Kim Sajet and Yeo in front of an invited audience, which included members of the actual White House press corps and Netflix Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos.
Ahead of its Season 4 premiere, Netflix renewed the show for a fifth season, set to premiere in 2017.
“House of Cards” returns for Season 4 on Friday, Mar. 4 on Netflix.
