Academy Award winner Helen Mirren spoke out on a number of issues in Hollywood at TheWrap’s Power Breakfast in New York on Tuesday, touching on ageism, sexism and the pursuit of art.
The recent Tony winner opened up about ageism and many other topics, including feeling fearful in her work and how she hates being referred to as “sexual,” despite her reputation. The full interview can be seen above.

She said appearances can deceive and her stellar career comes with its share of jitters. “I’m frightened all the time, of everything, really,” she said. “The point is not to be afraid of the fact that you’re afraid. You get on with it.”
