Hannibal Buress has joined the cast of Sony’s “Spider-Man: Homecoming,” an individual with knowledge of the project told TheWrap.

Tom Holland, who debuted his Spidey in “Captain America: Civil War,” will be joined in the Sony movie by new cast members Michael Keaton as a villain, Marisa Tomei as Aunt May and Zendaya as the female lead.

Danny Glover, Logan Marshall-Green and Martin Starr were added to the cast last week.

Amy Pascal is producing along with Marvel president Kevin Feige. Indie and television movie filmmaker Jon Watts is directing.

Buress recently starred in “Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising” and “The Nice Guys,” and he will lend his voice to the upcoming animated film, “The Secret Life of Pets.” He will also star in “The Comedian” and the “Baywatch” remake.

Buress is represented by WME and 3 Arts Entertainment.

Sony had no comment, and Marvel has not yet responded to TheWrap’s request for comment.
