ABC has ordered a half-hour comedy pilot from “The Goldbergs” creator Adam F. Goldberg.

The currently untitled project centers on a thirty-something bachelorette whose life is turned upside-down when she finally meets the love of her life — a divorced father with three kids. This triggers even more upheaval when the slightly unhinged imaginary friend she created as an only child suddenly reappears in her life to help her navigate the transition from single girl to a woman ready for a family.

Goldberg wrote the pilot with David Guarascio (“The Goldbergs,” “Happy Endings”). Patrick Osbourne and Doug Robinson (“Happy Madison”) will executive produce through Sony.

The news follows pilot pickups for cancer comedy “Pearl,” written and executive produced by Andrew Reich, and Scott Silveri‘s “Speechless,” about a family with a special-needs child.

ABC chief Paul Lee also announced a pilot order for “Agents of SHIELD” spinoff “Marvel’s Most Wanted” at TCA earlier this month.
