“Glee” star Mark Salling was arrested Tuesday for felony possession of child pornography.

Salling was taken into custody by Los Angeles police officers in the early hours of the morning from his Sunland, California, home, an individual with knowledge of the arrest told TheWrap.

The 33-year-old actor played the popular character Noah “Puck” Puckerman on the Fox musical series for six seasons.

Salling was booked in downtown Los Angeles and released on $20,000 bail.  The LAPD Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force issued a search warrant for the actor’s residence, where media reports said as many as 1000 images were discovered depicting minors simulating sexual acts. The photos were reportedly spread across a laptop, tablet and cell phone.

Salling’s personal representatives did not immediately return TheWrap’s request for comment.

In addition to appearing in “Glee: The 3D Concert Movie,” Salling toplined the indie “Rocky Road” and has a part in Adi Shankar’s forthcoming “Gods and Secrets.”

The arrest was originally reported by Crime Watch Daily.

This is not Salling’s first encounter with the law. In 2013, a woman sued him for sexual battery and accused him of knocking her to the ground after she confronted him over the incident. The case was settled in March for $2.7 million, according to E! News.
