George Clooney and his wife Amal have been granted a restraining order against a mentally unstable man who reportedly made threats about them.

In documents obtained by TheWrap, Clooney was granted a restraining order against Los Angeles resident Mark Bibbee, who according to the papers is currently in the psychiatric ward of the Veterans Administration Hospital.

Bibbee, 55, must stay at least 100 yards from the Clooneys for the next five years. He is also barred from making contact with them in any way.

According to TMZ, Bibbee sent Clooney’s team 189 pages of documents containing rambling and delusional thoughts, as well as veiled threats against the couple.

Among Bibbee’s ramblings was a reference to an assassination plot against former president George H.W. Bush, and a suggestion that the mass shooting at Pulse nightclub in Orlando earlier this year was “a false flag event to cover for LGBT criminal & pedophiles.”

Bibbee faces a one-year jail term, a $1,000 fine or both if he violates the terms of the restraining order, which was issued July 11 .

According to legal papers obtained by TheWrap, Clooney filed for the restraining order on June 17.

Bibbee is reportedly bipolar, and possibly schizophrenic.

TMZ reports that the Clooneys are currently in Italy.
