Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale will mentor Gwen Stefani‘s team on “The Voice” this season, which isn’t too surprising considering they’ve been married for well over a decade.
The 48 year-old rock star, who churned out a slew of alternative hits in the ’90s like “Glycerine” and “Machine Head,” announced the news via Twitter.

Considering Stefani and Rossdale have worked together before on more complex and significant projects, like raising three children, it’s a good bet they’ll be well prepared for helping aspiring young singers catch their break.

He won’t be the only celebrity mentor appearing on the 7th season of NBC’s popular competitive singing show, however. On July 8 the network announced that Stevie Nicks, who has even more years of industry experience than Rossdale, would mentor Adam Levine.
Season 7 of “The Voice,” which also features judges Pharrell Williams and Blake Shelton, starts Sept. 22, 2014.
