Gary Oldman in Talks to Join Kevin Costner in Ariel Vroman’s ‘Criminal’

Gary Oldman is in talks to join Kevin Costner in Ariel Vroman’s next film, a sci-fi thriller called “Criminal,” an individual close to the production tells TheWrap.

Costner will play a dangerous and unpredictable criminal who finds himself in unfamiliar territory when a dead CIA operative’s skills, secrets and memories are implanted into his brain, with the government agency hoping that he will finish the mission for them. Douglas Cook and David Weisberg wrote the script.

Matt O’Toole, Chris Bender and JC Spink are producing, while executive producers are Avi Lerner, Trevor Short, Boaz Davidson, Mark Gill, John Thompson, Christa Campbell, Lati Grobman, Christine Crowe, Jake Weiner and Jason Bloom.

Oldman will be seen in this weekend’s “Dawn of the Planet of the Apes.” He is repped by APA and manager Douglas Uranski.
