Fox’s ‘Almost Human’ Releases 8-Minute First Look at Series Premiere (Video)

Robot-police partnerships are proven fragile in this extended sneak peek of the new drama

Apparently, robots can’t compute craziness. That’s just one thing we learn in the eight-minute preview of “Almost Human” released by Fox on Monday.

In the extended peek, we meet future Los Angeles police officer John Kennex (Karl Urban). He’s apparently a human with synthetic body parts who has a score to settle with a murderous group of thieves called The Syndicate.

Although Kennex has a load of physical and mental problems, he has to pair up with a humanoid robot in order to continue going after The Syndicate. But, the robot gets a little too close for comfort.

Created by J. H. Wyman for J.J. Abrams’ Bad Robot Productions and Warner Bros. Television, the futuristic drama also stars Lili Taylor, Michael Ealy and Minka Kelly.

Fox announced last week that it had pushed the series premiere to Sunday, Nov. 17 before moving to its normal night on Monday, Nov. 18.
